How the filter works
The filter has 6 layers that together make the water fresher and smoother:
- Activated carbon and filter layers – remove chlorine, metals and odor.
- Alkalizing layer – raises the pH level to about 8.5–9.5.
- Mineralization – adds natural minerals.
- Ionization – lowers the ORP value of the water.
- Micro-clustering – makes the water smoother in taste.
- Energizing – a special filter material adds extra freshness to the water.
💡 What is ORP – and why does it matter?
ORP = Oxidation Reduction Potential.
- Tap water, and even spring water, typically has an ORP value of +200 to +400 mV.
- The pH water pitcher can typically lower it to around –100 mV.
🔹 What does this mean for you?
When water has a negative ORP value, it often tastes fresher and smoother than regular tap water. Many find it more pleasant to drink, which is why children and pets often prefer it.
Practical details
- Total capacity: 3.5 liters
- Amount of filtered water at once: about 2 liters
- It is recommended to prepare only the amount needed for one day, since pH and ORP gradually decrease if the water stands for too long.
- Filtered water keeps well in a glass container:
- about 1 day at room temperature
- about 2 days in the refrigerator
- Material: BPA-free plastic – BPA (bisphenol A) is a chemical once used in plastics, but no longer in food-grade products. This pitcher is made of BPA-free plastic and is safe for drinking water.
- Why not glass? A glass pitcher would be heavy and fragile, and the filter cartridge is plastic anyway. The most practical solution is durable, BPA-free plastic – but you can always store the filtered water in a glass jug if you prefer.
